Jenelle Dennis is the founder of The Consumer Law Lab, bringing 14 years of federal enforcement experience at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and 10 years of private practice litigation expertise. At CFPB, she most recently served as Senior Counsel for Enforcement Policy & Strategy and Market Lead for Payments, helped develop strategic priorities, generated cases for CFPB's payments, prepaid, and remittances dockets, and served as the Office of Enforcement's subject matter expert on payments, prepaid, and remittances issues, counseling case teams on factual and legal claim development. Prior to this role, she led individual enforcement cases resulting in nearly $600 million in consumer redress and penalties. She holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
